Chelmsford Lioness Club
Lionesses held a Tea Dance to commemorate 100 years since World War 1 and 70 years since D-Day. They ate some scrumptious cakes and sandwiches (off the ration of course!) then burnt off the calories by jiving and waltzing to the sounds of Glen Miller and other bands of the era. They enjoyed a rousing sing song of war time and music hall favourites and had great fun doing the Lambeth Walk. A minute silence was held to remember the ultimate sacrifice made by so many. The dance was in aid of the Royal British Legion and Lioness funds.
