21^st Annual Conference

The 2009 Multiple District 105 Lioness Clubs Annual Conference is being held at the Ramada Hotel, Grantham on Friday 20^th – Sunday 22^nd February 2009.

Hosted by Sleaford Lioness Club, there is an exciting weekend in store for all starting with an Arabian Night on Friday where you will have the opportunity to try your skills at ‘Belly dancing’.

Saturday’s business is guaranteed to be full of active debate with participative workshops for you to get involved in as well as the formal business of the AGM.  In 2009 we need to elect a new Multiple District Secretary as Lioness Margaret is coming to the end of her term of office, so don’t forget to send in your nominations to Lioness Meena Cuthbert (MD105 Nominations and Resolutions Officer).  To round off the day we have a celebrity Guest Speaker well known in the world of Television, sport and theatre.

On Saturday night we will be celebrating our ‘21^st Conference Birthday’ in true Lioness Style, so that everyone can join in the fun.

As you probably know already our Multiple District Lioness Chairman Phyllis has chosen the ‘Eve Appeal’ as her Charity of the year and we hope to have a speaker on Sunday morning who will give us an insight into some of the good work they do and show us how our money can help them.  There will also be an ‘Open Forum’ when everybody is encouraged to ask the questions they have always wanted to know the answers to but never dared to ask.

All Clubs will be receiving regular mailings from the Host Committee giving all the latest updates about Conference 2009 including booking forms etc but if you miss this information keep checking the website as we will also update information here.  The Conference newsletter is available here.
